Maximum PSN Registration
Our Product Serial Numbers (PSNs) registrations are not portable (cannot be transferred from one "old" computer to another "new" computer).
Additionally, in the event of a Windows 7 to Windows 10 upgrade please consider the following options:
(1) Windows 7 users can upgrade their existing computers to Windows 10. If the upgrade is done this way, the hard drive stays the same and a new PSN registration is not required.
(2) However, a move or transfer of Bytescribe software from a Windows 7 computer to a new Windows 10 computer for the upgrade is like replacing any other computer and normally requires a separate PSN registration.
As mentioned in the end-user license agreement (EULA), the software license can be registered three times. We set this limit to prevent any potential software piracy. You can review the EULA here: End-User License Agreement (EULA)
Since registrations are not portable, if you need to re-register, you will need to purchase another license of the software to register it on a 4th computer. A new software license can be purchased online at: store.bytescribe.com
There are 2 different registration options:
(1) Product Serial Number (PSN)
(2) USB Registration Key (aka Dongle)
If you wish to receive a new Product Serial Number immediately via email, you can select the "Download Only" software product.
We also offer a product called a USB Registration Key (aka Dongle) that is a hardware license key that allows you to bypass the registration process entirely. If you have need to install on different computers or multiple times, you may want to consider this product. However, please note the USB Dongle can only register one computer at a time rather than concurrent registrations. If you would prefer to purchase the license with the USB Registration Key (aka Dongle) you can simply choose your preferred software product that includes this option.
A new software license starts at $99. A package containing a new license and a USB Dongle is $20 dollars additional.
